Margie's Bachelorette Party

Many of Margie's friends got together to take her out for a night on the town in Chicago the weekend before she walked down the isle. Margie's bridesmaids Tiffany and Noreen, along with some help from me, planned the Bachelorette Party.

The night started out with Noreen, Tiffany, Rachel, mom and Nancy coming over to Margie's apartment to get set up for the party. Mom and Nancy we not staying for the big event, but wanted to stop by and say "hi". Tiffany got the food ready and while Nancy and Rachel blew up balloons, mom cut out the "members" for the Pin the Member on the Man Game. Soon Margie's friends started to arrive and with them came the presents and jello shots!

As any good bachelorette party should have, the obligatory stripper was arranged by Tiffany and Rachel. We chose a cowboy and were excited to get Margie with the surprise. When the dancer came we found out he needed to change into his costume. We had to involved several of the other girls to keep Margie distracted while the dancer slipped into her bathroom and changed! We were able to get her in the living room and when he was ready we started up the music on his boom box. The price on Margie's face was priceless when she heard the music and turned around to find the dancer jumping into the living room! She was a good sport and went through with even though she was completely mortified - especially when we took of the cop's cap to release his long blond hair. We all got a good laugh out of the whole thing.

Margie got several gifts with everything from lingerie to gag gifts for bachelorettes. The we headed out for some martini's down the block at Butterfield 8. After a few drinks the group headed over to a new club which just opened called Domaine. We were able to find a table on the first floor, but the real action was upstairs. Most of us had it by then and a few people went home while others went back to Margie's apartment where they spent the night.
